Directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, the Han Solo movie - now filming - features a screenplay by Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan and is said to focus on how young Han Solo became the smuggler, thief, and scoundrel whom Luke Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first encountered in the cantina at Mos Eisley. The cast of the said Han Solo movie is clearly expanding when it has just been reported that another actress is being offered a role.
Newton is not the only TV star in talks for a role in the spin-off movie, Phoebe Waller-Bridge of Fleabag is also in negotiations to play a motion capture character.
