Back in 2012 before landing her first cover, Kate opened up to the magazine about her aspirations of landing the coveted cover.
Upton got involved with the Brevard County Sheriff's Office Animal Services via her sister, Christie Williams, who works with the shelter.
"Two seemingly conflicted ideas, standing in opposition to one another".
The honor went to Sports Illustrated favourite Kate Upton, 24.
"I was very excited when MJ asked me to be back in the issue", Upton said. "You guys I have been bursting to tell you all about this!" "They just completely ghost you. They finally gave me a call yesterday".
She says the magazine has changed.
The magazine had three covers in 2016 featuring Ashley Graham, Ronda Rousey and Hailey Clauson.
Instead, readers get three covers: one with a topless Kate Upton wearing a sort of waist necklace, one with Upton wrapped in a tangle of what looks like macrame, and one with Upton in a pair of bikini bottoms matched with a long-sleeved top.
We can't forget that it was Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue back in 2011 that helped Upton become the star she is today, so it's nice to see she's still working with them.
Why wouldn't she? Clearly, the results of speak for themselves. I'm enjoying having fun with it and taking chances! In fact, it is quite the opposite.
The model is also teaming up with the mag for The Sports Illustrated x Swimsuits for All campaign that will feature "every body, every age, every beautiful" in the upcoming issue.
"When I strip down and roll around in the sand, I'm not doing it for men, I'm doing it for me".
"I am proud to show that you can be strong, smart, and sexy".
Don't believe me? Take a look!
"She has the new confidence of a woman".
"We were picking out swimwear together in the fittings before the shoot, and she was showing me how to pose to angle my body in a way that accentuates the curves", Alexa explains.
